Vitamin A is a fat-soluble vitamin. Therefore, it is essential when eating foods containing vitamin A that you include some healthy fat sources. Some examples of the best foods that contain vitamin A include butternut squash, amaranth, carrots, and pumpkin.

5. Vitamin C

So why is vitamin C important when it comes to healthy skin? It is known for its antioxidant properties.  Photo-protective properties of topically applied vitamin C have also been noted. Therefore, indicating its use in the prevention and treatment of skin aging.

Topical applications of 5% vitamin C cream are an effective treatment. This has been clinically shown to improve photo-damaged skin. Most people know that oranges are excellent sources of vitamin C.

So try cutting up some slices of bell pepper while having your afternoon hummus fix. Also, try spinach, mangoes, and broccoli.
