  • Begin by cutting the chicken breasts lengthwise into 2 pieces. Optional to use 4 thin sliced chicken breasts instead.
  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. In a casserole baking dish, spread out the 2 tablespoons of olive oil evenly into the bottom of the dish. Set aside.
  • In one bowl, whisk the egg. Set aside.
  • In a separate bowl, combine the breadcrumbs, garlic and onion powder, sea salt, pepper, oregano, and basil.
  • Begin by dredging each chicken breast into the egg and then the breadcrumb mixture. Lay each prepared chicken breast evenly into the casserole dish. Place into the oven for 10 minutes.
  • Remove the casserole baking dish from the oven. Flip the chicken breasts and spread the marinara sauce evenly over the top. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella and parmesan cheese over the top.
  • Return the casserole dish back into the oven for 20 minutes more. Remove and top with fresh chopped parsley. Serve immediately.
