Gluten-Free Honey Sesame Chicken

  • ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for a slight kick)
  • 2 onions, green (sliced, for garnish)

Instructions
 

  • Step 1: Coat & Cook the Chicken
    In a bowl, toss the chicken pieces with arrowroot powder, salt, and pepper until lightly coated.
    Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the chicken and cook for 6-8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until golden brown and fully cooked. Remove from pan and set aside.
  • Step 2: Make the Honey Sesame Sauce
    In the same pan, add garlic and ginger, sautéing for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
    Pour in the honey, tamari, rice wine vinegar, orange juice, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes. Stir well.
    Bring to a gentle simmer for 2-3 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
    Stir in the arrowroot slurry and let the sauce thicken for about 1-2 minutes.
    Mix in the sesame seeds, stirring well.
  • Step 3: Combine & Serve
    Return the cooked chicken to the pan, tossing to coat evenly in the sauce.
    Cook for 1-2 more minutes, then remove from heat.
    Garnish with extra sesame seeds and sliced green onions.
