  • Prep Your Pan & Oven
    Preheat your oven to 350°F. Lightly grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan with nonstick spray or line with parchment paper for easy removal.
  • Mash & Mix the Wet Ingredients
    In a medium bowl, mash 3 ripe bananas until smooth. Add brown sugar and stir to combine. Mix in the eggs (or flax eggs for a vegan option), vanilla extract, and melted coconut oil until everything is well blended.
  • Whisk the Dry Ingredients
    In a separate bowl, whisk together the gluten-free flour, baking powder, baking soda, sea salt, and cinnamon.
  • Combine & Fold
    Slowly add the wet mixture into the dry ingredients. Stir gently until just combined. Avoid overmixing. Then fold in the chocolate chips.
  • Bake to Golden Perfection
    Pour the batter into your prepared loaf pan. Sprinkle the top with extra cinnamon if desired. Bake for 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Cool, Slice & Serve
    Let the banana bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack. Once fully cooled, slice and enjoy plain or with your favorite nut butter, jam, or coconut yogurt.

  • Don’t overmix the batter; mix just until combined. Overmixing can make the banana bread dense rather than light and fluffy.
  • Fold in the chips at the end, and stop as soon as you don’t see dry flour streaks.
