This adaptogenic healthy matcha rice krispies treat recipe is a dessert you simply must try with luscious dark chocolate on top. I love to make this homemade gluten-free rice krispies dessert recipe for St. Patrick's Day or Easter.

  • Add the coconut oil to a large pan and melt over medium heat.
  • Stir in your matcha green tea powder and optional adaptogenic powders.
  • Add in the mini marshmallows, stirring to combine with the coconut oil. Allow the marshmallows to melt.
  • Add your rice krispie cereal until all the krispies are coated with the marshmallow mixture.
  • Spray a baking pan with coconut oil, cooking spray, or lightly grease with a bit of coconut oil. You can also opt to line the baking pan with parchment paper instead.
  • Spread your marshmallow and cereal mixture into the baking pan. Spread evenly, and press with a spatula to firmly press into the pan.
  • Melt chocolate chips in a double boiler or in the microwave. Pour the melted chocolate mixture over the top of the rice krispie mixture in the baking pan. Allow to cool and enjoy. Sprinkle with some Maldon sea salt flakes.
