  • Prepare the Ingredients
    In a small bowl, whisk together the pomegranate juice, cranberry sauce, blackstrap molasses, red wine vinegar, ketchup, garlic, and spices (onion powder, cinnamon, celery powder, smoked paprika, Cajun spice, and Italian seasoning).
  • Layer in the Slow Cooker
    Add the diced onion and fresh cranberries to the bottom of the slow cooker.
    Place the seared chicken thighs on top.
    Pour the prepared sauce over the chicken. Add the bone broth for extra moisture.
  • Cook
    Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until the chicken is tender and cooked through.
  • Thicken the Sauce
    Thirty minutes before serving, stir the arrowroot slurry into the sauce to thicken.
    Sprinkle with fresh parsley and pomegranate seeds before serving.
