This is an easy to make golden milk, Haldi Ka Doodh creamy lemonade recipe that will become your new favorite creamy lemonade drink on repeat. Golden milk is a creamy ayurvedic drink, also known as Haldi Ka Doodh, with many health benefits, so it's perfect for this creamy turmeric lemonade recipe.

I absolutely love lemonade, especially in the hot weather. I was inspired by my traditional golden milk latte recipe but wanted a refreshing spin for the warmer months.

❓ Why I love This Iced Golden Milk Lemonade Drink?

There are many reasons to love this creamy lemonade. First, it's full of anti-inflammatory ingredients that are perfect for recovery from either a hard workout, a night out celebrating with a few cocktails, or simply for the delicious taste.

Second, it's brimming full of antioxidants and anti-inflammatory ingredients, which can help those suffering from joint pain like arthritis.

Thirdly, ginger and turmeric are my go to warming spices that are great for good gut health.

Golden milk is a traditional Ayurvedic drink that is a delicious blend of hot milk, warming spices, turmeric, and ginger. Turmeric has many health benefits with one of the key benefits being anti-inflammatory in nature.

Ingredients

• 4 cups water
• 3 tablespoons maple syrup
• ½ inch ginger, fresh (Peeled and chopped)
• 1 teaspoon turmeric, ground
• ¼ cup lemon, juice
• ½ cup coconut milk
• 1 pinch black pepper, ground
• 1 pinch sea salt

Optional Ingredients:

• 1 pinch cinnamon, ground
• 1 pinch cloves, ground
• 1 pinch cardamon, ground

Instructions

 

• Combine the coconut milk, turmeric, lemon juice, black pepper, salt, maple syrup, and ginger in a small bowl.
• You can either add in the optional spices to add depth of flavor or simply omit.
• Add some ice to a glass pitcher. Pour in the golden milk mixture over the ice. Fill the pitcher with the filtered water. Stir. Chill and enjoy.

Be sure to stir again after chilling it. The coconut milk and water tend to separate after sitting for awhile.

Feel free to strain the fresh ginger out before serving. I prefer to leave it in because of the added benefits that ginger provides the body.

If you are not used to the taste of turmeric, start with ½ teaspoon of ground turmeric.

Adjust the sweetener based on taste preference. Some individuals prefer a sweeter lemonade, so add more honey or maple syrup to your desired liking.

Making a creamy lemonade recipe is a personal preference in terms of sweetness and dietary needs. Check out some easy substitutions and variations to customize this recipe to your liking.

• Maple Syrup - Instead of maple syrup, swap it for honey or limit sugars, even more, try stevia.
• Ginger - I personally love the fresh ginger in this recipe, but if you don't have any, please use ground ginger. But please don't skip the ginger, as it is the key flavor to this drink.

I also love to add adaptogens to my recipes. Try adding some Ashwagandha root powder or maca powder.
