Strawberries - I prefer strawberries in this homemade milk recipe. They are a more neutral tasting berry, while still adding that sweet berry flavor. Fresh or frozen strawberries both work well.
Beets - Beets are rich in iron, which is important if you struggle with nutrient deficiencies or are prone to low iron levels. Cooked or raw beets both work well with this beetroot iron rich milk recipe.
Medjool Dates - The natural sweetness of dates is a great swap for refined sugar. You also gain the additional benefits from minerals like magnesium and potassium.
Milk of Choice- I used unsweetened coconut milk in this recipe. However, oat milk or almond milk work well too. Any dairy-free or plant-based milk keep this recipe vegan friendly.
